Being welcomed by our friendly, market team and being part of the buzzing energy as the doors open wide. And, for the adventurous types, setting up a stall and recycling gently used items, to happy, new homes – all the while, earning you dollars!

About ‘My Kids Market’ (fondly known as MKM):
We are a team of NSW mums visiting ten different locations on a rotating cycle. Although impacted by the last two years, our Newcastle Market has bounced back and full of joy – a reflection of the incredible support we receive from the Newcastle Community. Local businesses, mums and families have always jumped in and helped us share our events to reach new families. Newcastle is a place we consider as one of our ‘warm homes’.
A little bit about myself, Jennifer…I am a mum of two young adult boys and I first discovered baby markets when my youngest was just two and fell in love with the concept immediately. Ten years later ‘My Kids Market NSW’ was born and I am so proud of all we do:
- Saving thousands of tonnes of baby and kids items from landfill including large items, toys, clothes and more.
- Giving parents a place to make money through recycling
- Helping families save money as they buy essential baby and kids items
- Creating a sense of community, cohesion and belonging
- Supporting new businesses to launch by showcasing at MKM
